On receiving medical treatment after suffering the injuries, doctors confirmed that it the foetus was injured fatally so they removed it. The mother survived.

On May 26, 2020, around 11:00am, Benard Mueti aka Vaite, a street kid, was allegedly shot dead by a police officer. The incident took place in Kitui village in Shauri Moyo. Witnesses state that police officers shot him from behind and at close range.

Maurice Ochieng died 5 days after being beaten up by police officers for not wearing a mask. He was originally detained at Maseno Police Post on May 20th, but was allegedly released after his condition worsened. On May 25th, Ochieng collapsed and was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival. The family is waiting for the autopsy report in order to confirm the cause of death.
N.B. Officers confirmed that Ochieng was in their custody, but denied any involvement in his death.
